Welcome to the Tunnel House Inn
In October last year, we began a full-scale renovation of the much-loved Tunnel House Inn, breathing new life into this special place while preserving everything that makes it so unique. Our aim is simple: to bring the Inn into the modern world and ensure it remains a welcoming destination for generations to come.
Whether you’re a thirsty local, a hungry walker, an exploring family, a muddy dog, an adventurous visitor, or simply looking for somewhere beautiful to stop, rest and enjoy great food and drink, you’ll always find a warm welcome here. And if you’d like to stay a little longer, our three gorgeous bedrooms offer the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Our newly refurbished dining room brings together traditional country-pub charm with a fresh, welcoming feel — the perfect setting for everything from a leisurely lunch with friends to a relaxed evening meal. When the sun is shining, our spacious gardens really come into their own. With beautiful countryside views, plenty of room to unwind and a drink in hand, it’s the perfect place to settle in and enjoy the surroundings. And at weekends when you’re feeling hungry, our Airstream brings something a little special to the garden, serving up delicious live-fire cooking for a relaxed, laid-back outdoor dining experience.
We’re incredibly lucky to call such a stunning location home. Nestled beside the tranquil Thames and Severn Canal, with its magnificent historic tunnel portal, the Tunnel House Inn is a wonderful place to pause and take in the beauty of the Cotswolds.
And for walkers, you’ll be pleased to know there’s a welcoming watering hole waiting for you once again. Whether you’re emerging from the vast Hailey Wood or setting off to explore one of the many beautiful local routes, we’re perfectly placed for a well-earned rest and refreshment.
